"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit".
               "Never Quit"

In July of 2014 I attended a therapeutic retreat for female Veterans hosted by the Lone Survivor Foundation. I participated in Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) using the EAGALA method. As an artist I have worked with many different mediums, but this was a first for me! I was lucky enough to use my hands and paint with Crayola washable paint on this beautiful horse. I started with the white background and began painting the sun on the left to represent the light in my life. The wave was created as a symbol of strength and power. The quote to the right of the wave is from Max Erhmann's 1927 poem, "Desiderata".

"You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should".
"It all started by accident". I remember in early 2011 after the passing of my beloved Grandmother Irene, I was painting one evening and I accidently broke a mirror in my home. My grandmother was an artist and a very superstitious woman so naturally after the fear of 7 years bad luck set in, I decided to combine the broken mirror with the artwork as a tribute to her. The picture below is the first of my broken mirror collection and the birth of "IMAGERY ARTWORKS"
